King's Lynn to Great Yarmouth is part of the Norfolk Coast Cycleway

From King's Lynn to Great Yarmouth, the Norfolk Coast Cycleway goes along the coast. It includes both on-road and off-road routes, like quiet lanes and bike paths. The route goes through some of Norfolk's most beautiful coastal scenery, like the salt marshes of Holme and Scolt Head islands, the sand dunes at Winterton-on-Sea, and the beach at Sea Palling.

Along the way, there are also a number of places to visit, such as Sheringham Park, Houghton Hall, and Holkham Hall. The route is good for cyclists of all skill levels, though beginners may find some parts harder.

CANOEING, KAYAKING AND PADDLEBOARDING NORTH NORFOLK COAST

Paddling a kayak, canoe, or paddle board is becoming more and more popular and is a great way to see the coastal waters, landscapes, and wildlife of Norfolk. There are a lot of good places to rent equipment and get lessons in Norfolk. There are also lots of chances for kayakers and canoeists with a lot of experience to get out on the water. The coast around Norfolk is diverse and has a lot of different places to paddle, from creeks and rivers that are safe to more difficult open-water crossings.

No matter how much you know, you should always check the tide times and weather before going out on the water, because things can change quickly.

HEACHAM AND HUNSTANTON WATCH THE SUN GO DOWN

Both Heacham and Hunstanton are great places to see the sun go down. If the weather is nice, you'll enjoy sitting on the beach and watching the sun go down over the water. This is a great thing to do at Heacham Beach, which is just a few minutes' walk from our campground.

NORFOLK WILDLIFE

The Norfolk coast is home to a wide range of animal species, making it a great place for animal lovers and families. Take a trip to Park Farm and get a guided tour on the back of a tractor trailer. Ride the Wash Monster across The Wash to see the seals, or take a walk down to Wild Ken Hill, where a rewilding project is trying to return 1500 acres of Norfolk land to nature so it can become wild again. Wild animals like beavers, cattle, wild boar, kites, owls, bats, and many more can be seen in a unique way.

All of this is right next to where we camp on the Norfolk Coast.

You can walk or ride a bike along the coast and see many beautiful places. If cycling isn't your thing, you could take a nice walk (or a hard hike!) along the coast. There are a lot of beautiful things to see on Peddars Way, from beautiful cliffs to wild animals. Do you think you're a bit of a water baby? Rent a paddle board and go out on the British seas! It's the perfect activity for a couple. As you paddle gently through the open sea, you can look at the scenery and sunsets around you. Kayaking is another great activity for a couple. Rent a kayak and sail along the beautiful Norfolk Coast together.

PLACES TO EAT & DRINK

The Norfolk coast is full of small shops and businesses that sell a wide range of food that is grown nearby. The Rose & Crown has everything you'd expect from a village inn in Norfolk: twisting passages and hidden corners, low ceilings and old beams, pamment floors, log fires, great beers, friendly staff, and a laid-back, casual atmosphere. They are also great with dogs! If you want something different, drive about 20 minutes to Thornham Deli, which is a bit further away. But the drive is well worth it because you can get fresh cakes, coffee, and meals. Take a walk along the beautiful beach, where birds nest in the dunes, and then unwind with a cup of coffee at the deli.
